Leave a gift in your will

We fully understand that your loved ones come first, – but maybe you are in a position to remember the Hamlet Centre Trust with a gift in your will, too. You can choose to leave us a share of your estate, a fixed sum or a specific gift. If you have already made a will, you can use the following wording to make a simple addition (codicil) which can be sent to your solicitor.

We recommend that you seek the guidance of a solicitor when you make your will/ add a codicil to your existing will so that your intentions can be fully carried out.

A pecuniary legacy (a set sum of money):

‘I direct my executors to pay the sum of (amount in words and figures) to the Hamlet Centre Trust (Registered Charity Number: 10000653) of Ella Road, Norwich NR1 4BP, for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer of the Hamlet Centre Trust for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.’
A residuary legacy (share of estate, after set sums of money are paid out):
‘I direct my executors to make over the residue (or a % share of the residue) of my estate to Hamlet Centre Trust (Registered Charity Number: 10000653) of Ella Road, Norwich NR1 4BP, for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer of Hamlet Centre Trust for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.’

A specific legacy (an object of value, i.e. car, stamp collection, etc…):

‘I direct my executors to make over (full description of item) to Hamlet Centre Trust (Registered Charity Number: 10000653) of Ella Road, Norwich NR1 4BP, for its general charitable purposes. I further direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer of Hamlet Centre Trust for the time being shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executors.’

It is also very simple to set up a justgiving page for donations in memory:
